Naoma Matilda “Dot” Braun, 84, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at her home.
Mrs. Braun was born in 1934 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Adam and Bessie Hair. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake, while raising four children. Mrs. Braun was a “mother bear” type….in other words, don’t threaten or harm her cubs. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, board games, and spending time with family. Mrs. Braun was a spiritual person and a member of International Gospel of Assemblies in Pennsylvania.
Her husband, Lawrence Edmond Braun, whom she married on December 17, 1965 preceded her in death in 2015.
Surviving is a daughter, Cynthia Walker Hollenden of Winchester, Virginia; sons, Rodney Lawrence Braun (Heather) of Reading, Pennsylvania, Ernest Edward Walker (Robin) of Winchester, Virginia, and Irvin Ronald Walker (Penny) of Newport, North Carolina; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, March 16th, at Church of Christ at Mountain View, 153 Narrow Lane, Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Doug Hardman and Pastor Ken Patrick officiating. Interment will be private.
