Nancy S. Luck, 87 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, peacefully at her home.
Nancy was born in 1937 in Middleburg, VA, the daughter of the late Thomas Edward Swain and Mildred Marie (Lloyd) Swain. She was a graduate of Loudoun County High School and retired from the United States Postal Service as a postal clerk. Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church of Winchester and the Winchester Senior Center. She was part of the Singin’ Seniors and enjoyed square dancing. Nancy was also an animal advocate. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Cooper and Sharon Cooper; grandchildren, Megan Johnson (Trenton), Monica Benard (Stephen), James “Jimmy” Cooper (Karishma); great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Zoey Benard and her brother, Edward “Snooks” Swain.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her first husband, James Roland Cooper who passed in 1969 and her second husband, Samuel Preston Luck, Jr. who passed in 1978 as well as her sister, Betty Kirk.
Services for Nancy will be private.
