Mildred Keyton
Mildred Keyton, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Facility with her husband of 64 years by her side.
Mildred was born in 1930 in Charlottesville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Claude and Grace Moon. She was a homemaker and enjoyed staying home to raise their two daughters. Mildred took pride in her home, always the immaculate housekeeper, and if you ever visited you better take off your shoes before coming in. She loved having a house full of family and friends. Mildred was of the Baptist faith. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend that will be missed by all.
She married Dickie Keyton on August 24, 1953 in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband, Dickie, are daughters, Linda K. Wright (Wayne) and Mildred D. Fletcher (Mark); grandchildren, Melissa K. Sexton, Jason W. Fletcher and Gary W. Wright (Emily); great grandchildren, Brianna, Nicholas, Addison, Sahara and Amber.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Terry Hendricks officiating. Interment will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Upperville, Virginia.
