Michael J. Marchessault
Mr. Michael Jay Marchessault, age 56, of Winchester, VA, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Winchester Medical Center. Mr. Marchessault was born in 1956 in Burlington, VT, the son of Jessica Hand of Washington Township, NJ, and the late Richard Marchessault. He was a warehouse technician for Ford Motor Company in Winchester, retiring June 1, 2012, after 35 years of service. He is a veteran, having served in the U. S. Army in the Vietnam War. He was a loving, dedicated husband and father, and his family meant the world to him. He enjoyed summers in Vermont on his grandfathers farm with his brothers. He was loved by family and friends.
Surviving with his wife, Patricia, are two daughters, Danielle and Emily Marchessault, both of Stephens City, VA, a sister, Karen Gundling of California, and a brother, Brian Marchessault and wife, Cheryl, of East Corinth, VT, and many nieces and nephews that adored him.
Michael was preceded in death by his father and two brothers Todd and Greg Marchessault.
A prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM prior to the service.
