Michael J. “Mick” Scieszka

Date of Death: July 14, 2012

Michael James “Mick” Scieszka, age 22, of Stephens City, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at his home. Mick was born in 1990 in Baltimore, MD, the son of William Robert and Donna Scieszka Elliott. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mick was a Tattoo Artist employed by Torpedo Robs Tattoo Shop in Strasburg, VA.

Surviving with his parents is a sister, Olivia Marie Elliott of Stephens City, his grandparents, Judi and Stanley Scieszka of Stephens city, his Uncle Dave and Aunt Charlotte Scieszka, his Goddaughter, Isabella Marie Scieszka, and many extended family members. He is also survived by his loving canine companion, Sadie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with a Rosary Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M.

Contributions in Mick’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2654 Valley Avenue, Suite B, Winchester, VA 22601 or the Sarcoma Foundation of America, 9899 Main Street, Suite 204, Damascus, MD 20872.
