Marylee Warfield passed away on March 14, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Virginia after a difficult battle with lung cancer.
Marylee was born in 1947 in Columbia, Maryland, the daughter of the late Mary Maxine Warfield, who was a high school teacher and the late John Gordon Warfield, who was an electrical engineer. She graduated from high school in Frederick, Maryland and attended college at the University of Maryland. While in high school Marylee was very active in 4-H Clubs, always loved animals and enjoyed growing plants. She was an avid reader and took pleasure in visiting and shopping at the local thrift shops in the Winchester area. Her greatest passion was meeting and greeting people which made her a natural at working with the public in the retail industry. Prior to her passing, she worked for five years as a warm and caring clerk for People’s Cleaners on Indian Alley in Winchester prior to its closing in early 2018. Marylee will be greatly missed by all her friends in the Winchester community.
Surviving is a son, Mark Stafuse of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Dillion.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
