Mary Louise Good, 101, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mary was born in 1923 in Virginia, the daughter of the late Holmes and Lois Yeakley. She was a graduate of Handley High School in Winchester. Mary was a lifetime member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

She married John Paul Good, Sr. her husband of 75 years on April 8, 1944, in Winchester and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2019. Since 1952, Mary and John spent their life together farming at their home on Apple Pie Ridge Road.

Mary is survived by her son, John Good, Jr. of Winchester, VA, daughters, Martha Jenkins (Russell) of Winchester, VA, Mary Lee (Ron) of Winchester, VA, grandchildren, Heather Lee Calkins (Sam) of Winchester, VA, Rusty Jenkins of Winchester, VA and great-grandchild, Kinslee Calkins.

Along with her parents and husband, Mary is predeceased by her brothers, Stewart Yeakley, Sr. and Harry Yeakley.

The family would like to thank Millie Taylor for the wonderful 11 years of care she gave her.

A visitation will be held for Mary on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11am with a service to follow at 12pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
