Mary Jane “Mickey” Harden
Mary Jane ”Mickey” Robb Harden, 80, of Winchester, Virginia, died Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
Mrs. Harden was born in 1933, in Greer, West Virginia, the daughter of John F. and Clara C. Robb. She was a graduate of Allegany High School in Cumberland, Maryland, and Cumberland Memorial Hospital Nursing School where she received Associates Degree (RN). She was a retired Registered Nurse with the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Mickey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, but was truly everybody’s angel. She was the founder of Meals on Wheels in Winchester and a board member of the Free Medical Clinic. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Women’s Civic League and a Fundraiser for Millwood Station Fire and Rescue Company in Winchester.
She married John Archie Harden on March 20, 1960, in Frostburg, Maryland. Her first husband, Donald Franklin Frye, preceded her in death in 1957.
Surviving with her husband, is her daughter, Terri Clark of Berryville; sons, Greg Frye and wife, Carolyn, Rick Frye and wife, Marty, all of Winchester; grandchildren, Jeremy Frye, Brandy Frye, Brittany Frye, Christina Clark, Cameron Frye; and four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at the Millwood Station Special Events Center, 250 Costello Drive, Winchester, with Reverend Noel Vold and Funeral Celebrant Joseph R. Dilleree officiating.
