Mary E. Blevins
Mary Eva Hood Blevins, 89, of Frederick County, Virginia formerly of Edinburg, Virginia, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, in her home.
Mrs. Blevins was born in 1924 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Earl and Ada Bertha Hood. She was a homemaker and a member of 1st Baptist Church of Woodstock.
She married Clarence E. Blevins on December 7, 1946, in Bethesda Maryland. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2005.
Surviving is her daughter, Lynette L. Weddle and husband, Arvin “Bo”, of Winchester, Virginia; two grandchildren, Laura M. Shanholtz and husband, David, of Stephens City, Virginia, Ryan D. Weddle and wife, Melanie, of Toms Brook, Virginia; great grandsons, Spencer Shanholtz, Luke Shanholtz and Davis Weddle; sister, Virginia Rader of Morganton, North Carolina and brother, Carroll Hood of Franklin, Ohio. Mrs. Blevins is preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00-4:00 PM, at the Shanholtz Residence, 102 Queens Way, Stephens City, Virginia.
