Sorry to miss the funeral. I have fun memories of Bettye. Like the time in early 1980s when we took a girls trip to New York City. We had tea at the Waldorf Astoria. The hostess was so nice, she kept bringing us these tiny scones and small bites. We didn't know until the bill came that we had to pay for every little bite...the bill was more $ than we had. We laughed! But Betty had to use a credit card (and explain to Russ later). That was also the same trip we ran into Darryl Strawberry going to dinner, the week of the World Series. We were excited and giggly! Betty knew how to have fun!
