Mary Bernadine Fletcher
Mary Bernadine Fletcher, age 91, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, in Lynn Care Center, Front Royal, Virginia.
Mrs. Fletcher was born in 1921, in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Joby and Lena Newbraugh. She had been employed at both the Clearbrook and Winchester Woolen Mills. She retired from the Welcome Haven Assisted Living Center in Winchester, Virginia, where she had worked as a cook. She was of the Methodist faith.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Fletcher.
Surviving is her niece, Janice Fletcher and nephew, Raymond Newbraugh and his wife, Joanne, all of Winchester, Virginia; her nephew-in-law, Joseph Algier of Winchester, Virginia; and Janice’s grandchildren, Nick Giffen, Aaron Giffen, Alexander Al-Atrash, and Jacquelyne Al-Atrash, whom Mary cherished as her own grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by a son, Dwayne K. Lantz, a step son, Bernard Fletcher, a sister and a brother.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Elder Gary Utz officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Omps, South Chapel one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
