Mary Anna T. Michael, 89, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away Thursday night, April 12, 2018, at Rolling Green Village in Greenville South Carolina.
Mrs. Michael was born in 1928 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Irvon and Mary Triplitt. She retired from the United States Government, having worked at Mt. Weather, which is now FEMA. Mrs. Michael was a member of Burnt Presbyterian Church in Frederick County, Virginia.
Her husband, Willis Roscoe Michael, whom she married on October 27, 1946 in Hagerstown, Maryland, preceded her in death in 2011.
Surviving is a son, Stephen “Steve” W. Michael and wife, Donna of Greer, South Carolina; niece, Bee Dee Lineburg and husband, Buzz of Lyman Lake, S.C. and her daughter, Buffi and husband, Eric Wilder and their daughter, Lola. Also her niece, Jocelyn Triplitt Miller and husband, Jeff and sons, Chad and Brent; nephew, Chuck Kerns and wife, Jackie of Port St. Lucie, FL and their children, Doris Wiles of Callahan, FL and Scott Kerns of Jacksonville, FL; and nephew, Donnie Kerns and wife, Genice of Teleco Lake, TN and their daughter, Ashley Kerns of Chicago, IL and sons, Collin Kerns (Jacksonville, FL) and Brandon Kerns (Chicago, IL)
Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Michael was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara T. Kerns, Gaynel Reading, and Nina T. Cooper; and brothers, Darrell Triplitt and Wesley Triplitt.
The family will receive friends from 3 pm to 5 pm on Sunday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Dwight Rinard officiating. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum, Winchester, Virginia.
