Marvin Lee Ritter, 59, of Boyce, Virginia died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Ritter was born in June of 1954 in Winchester, Virginia the son Marshall and Carrie Ritter of White Post, VA. He was self-employed as a construction contractor. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer, and loved horse racing. He never met a stranger and everyone who knew him, loved him. He was a devoted husband and loving father.

Marvin married Robin Hutzler on April 19, 1985 in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving with his wife and parents are two daughters, Melissa D. Ritter of Middletown, VA and Heather N. Ritter of Boyce, VA; three grandchildren, Ravyn Rouse, Aydan Willis and Donovyn Willis; a sister, Karen Compher of Inwood, WV; a brother, Marshall Ritter, Jr. and wife, Diane; nieces and nephews, and countless friends that he adored.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James D. Ritter.

There will be a viewing from 9-11:00AM with the funeral to follow on Monday, July 29th at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Minister Chip Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, VA.
