Martin Frank Stewart, 79 of Front Royal, VA, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Marty was born in 1945 in Ottawa, IL, the son of the late Frank and Martha Stewart. He graduated with his associate’s degree in military intelligence and retired in 1984 after serving our county for 20 years in the United States Army as an Army Intelligence Officer. He was a member of St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church in Ottawa, IL. Marty was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed cooking, eating and fishing. Marty lived and was deployed to various countries around the world. Marty appreciated the opportunity to travel the world in and out of the Army.

He married Joyce Lynn Todd on January 7, 1967, in Ottawa, IL and she preceded him in death on January 24, 2016.

Marty is survived by his children, Brenda Stewart Khan (Noorul), Brad Stewart (Iulia); grandchildren, Ahmed, Omar, Osman, Anisa, Alexis, Auston, John and Montgomery and his sister, Marsha Stewart Killelea (Kevin).

A memorial service will be held for Marty at a later date.
