Mark Sheldon Sanders, 70 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at his home.

Mark was born in 1954 in Martinsburg, WV the son of the late Donald Emmert Sanders and Wanda Lee (Lemen) Sanders. He retired from BP Properties in the maintenance department. Mark loved his Ford trucks and would say he was “Built Ford Tough”. He was a jack of all trades and would fix anything that needed to be repaired, the family knew to just “Call Granddaddy”. Mark was a friend to all, and he never knew a stranger, he was a big kid at heart. Most of all he loved spending every chance he had with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Cathy Dawn Golliday (Brian), Becky Welsh (David), grandchildren, Caitlin Heishman, Sabrina Golliday, Derek Welsh (Carrington Summa), William Golliday and Benjamin Welsh, 10 great-grandchildren, Stella, Madelyn, Ryli, Grayson, Kinsley, Sheldon, Kylee, Owen, Liam, Emilena and a baby boy on the way, brother, Ronnie Sanders (Carolyn), nephew, Bradley Sanders (Angela) and niece, Tamara Pitzer (Brent).

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Sanders.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 6pm with a service to be conducted at 7:30pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg, WV. Pastor Andy Tinsman will officiate.
