Marion H. Willis
Marion Henry Willis, 88, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, October 30, 2014, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Willis was born in 1926, in Alton, Illinois, the son of the late Shelby T. and Mary Willis. Mr. Willis attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and he was a veteran having served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre, achieving the rank of Ensign. He was a construction manager with Phoenix Construction Management, Inc., retiring in 1990.
He married Maxine Ruth Laux on April 23, 1947, in Alton, Illinois.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Lynn King (John) of Purcellville, Virginia and Marsha Agena (Allen) of Kapolei, Hawaii; grandchildren Julie Robinson (David) of Fishersville, VA, Joshua King (Leigh Ann) of Purcellville, VA, Kathryn Bambadji (David) and Lindsay Rivera (Brad) both of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; and six great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Shelby Willis and H.R. Willis, preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at The Willows, 1881 Harvest Drive, Winchester, Virginia, with Pastor Vernon Bray officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marion to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 645 Berryville Avenue, Winchester, Virginia, 22601.
