Marianne Wagler Synowietz, 76, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Synowietz was born in Christoehammer, Czechoslovakia, in 1938, the daughter of the late Alfred and Hildegard Wagler. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester, Virginia. Marianne was devoted to her family and faith and will be remembered for her love of birds and gardening.
She married Nikolaus Synowietz on November 17, 1958, in Cornberg, Germany.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Carola Yowell, Irene Smelser and husband, Chris all of Winchester, Virginia; sons, Peter Synowietz of Winchester, Virginia, Martin Synowietz of Chesapeake, Virginia; six grandchildren, Jason Smelser, Jackie Smelser, Carly Smelser, Ryan Synowietz, Austin Synowietz and Bethanie Synowietz.
One brother, Manfred Wagler, preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Monday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
