Margaret L. Trenary
Margaret Louise Petty Trenary, 88, of Stephens City, Virginia formerly of Alexandria, Virginia died Thursday, June 3, 2010, in her home.
Mrs. Trenary was born in 1921 in Alexandria, Virginia, the daughter of the late William Franklin and Rose Olive Petty. She was a homemaker and of the Episcopal Faith. Mrs. Trenary was a former member of the Corinthian Yacht Club in Ridge, Maryland. She was a graduate of George Washington High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
Her husband, Elwood G. Trenary, whom she married on August 23, 1941, in Alexandria, Virginia, preceded her in death in 1994.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy T. Hunt, of Yorktown, Virginia, Brenda C. Trenary of Stephens City, Virginia; grandchildren, T. Daniel Hunt of Arrington, Virginia, Kevin D. Hunt of Yorktown, Virginia, Susan H. Giedt of Anchorage, Alaska, K. Jason Hunt of Okinawa, Japan, Jennifer Lynn Adkins of Lynchburg, Virginia; great grandchildren, Brittany Detwiler of Stephens City, Virginia; Kelsey M. Hunt, Abigail E. Hunt of Yorktown, Virginia; T. Daniel Hunt, Jr., S. William Hunt and Elijah S. Hunt, all of Arrington, Virginia, Julia R. and Andrew M. Giedt of Anchorage Alaska and Madilynn E. Hunt of Okinawa, Japan and one great-great granddaughter, Amelia Rose Detwiler of Stephens City, Virginia; and two sisters, Bertha Walter of Baltimore Maryland, and Florence Dewalt of Alexandria, Virginia.
One grandson, Warren Douglas “Doug” Adkins, Jr., two sisters, Catherine Ulrich and Thelma Morison preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
