Margaret C. Hager, 72 of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at her home.
Margaret was born in 1953 in Washington D.C., the daughter of the late Russell and Mary Cox. She earned her bachelor’s degree and worked in Human Resources for the government, where she received several awards from her time at the DEA and the Department of Navy. Margaret enjoyed traveling and even visited Alaska. She was very giving and always trying to help especially with her donations to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Cancer Society, and the Salvation Army to name a few. Margaret was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She kept life simple and lived it to the fullest. She will be missed by those that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Terry Lee Hager who passed on February 23, 2026, and her brother, Ted Cox.
Margaret is survived by her nieces and nephews, Thomas, Kevin, and Tammy; great-nephews, Thomas III, Addison, Michael, Gabriel, Emery, Lincoln and Logan and her brothers, Tommy, and Michael “Mike” Cox.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Margaret and Terry on Friday, Mach 13, 2026 at 11am at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Alan Morrison officiating.
