Margaret Ann Golightly, 85, of Winchester, Virginia, died, Friday, January 25, 2013, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Golightly, was born in 1927, in King George, Virginia the daughter of the late Henry Irving and Margaret Ann White. Margaret attended King George High School. She was a waitress for Joe’s Ocean Cove in Winchester, Virginia. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Margaret loved cooking and working crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Golightly married Edward Flagg Golightly, Jr. in 1952 in Guinea, Virginia.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister Catherine Louise Acey, of Culpeper, Virginia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor David Whitt and Pastor Marcia Jaurequizar officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Virginia 23058-5216.

Margaret was my great aunt... a sister to my grandfather, Henry S. White. She was a delightful and witty lady. As a child, I always looked forward to her and Sonny's visits to my grandparents house...there was always so much life and laughter when they were there, Love, Valerie

Margaret was my aunt, the sister of my father,Henry White. She lived with us for a short while when I was a child.I stayed with her an d ISonny when I was on summer break as a teenager. Their cat would attack me every time I walked past the stove where it hid from me! I ask her to fix me a sandwich because I was on vacation! She never let me forget that conversation.For 50 years we laughed about it. I will miss her alot! As long as she was with us a part of my Dad was too. They were a lot alike in many ways.
