Manfred “Manny” G. Kokorsky
Manfred Gunter Kokorsky, 76, of Petersburg, West Virginia died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, in his home.
Mr. Kokorsky was born in 1936 in Germany the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kokorsky. He was a truck driver for Shenandoah Foods retiring in 2009. Manny was a kind and gentle soul who was known for his sense of humor, the love of the great outdoors and had a passion for country music. He was a devoted animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Many of his close friends called him “Rocky” or “Fred”.
Surviving is a fiancée Judith Ridings; a step-daughter, Danielle Wheeler and husband, Eddie of Petersburg, West Virginia; step-son, Eric Ray and wife Zhenya of Germany; eight step-grandchildren as well as two sisters and one brother.
Manfred was preceded in death by one brother.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Friends may call Thursday, prior to the service, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Omps Funeral home, South Chapel.
