I worked for Luke Boyd at Morse Chain Co. during the 60’s. He was very influential to my future and unforgettable to me. I was sorry to learn of his passing on 12/24/2015. He was a great family man living in Trumansburg. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, Patricia and family.

I have very fond memories of babysitting for Luke and Pat when they were young parents of four boys and continued to care for their growing family as Hillary and Allison were added to their beautiful family. Later, when my widowed mother married Luke's widowed father, my sister and I joined a raucous and fun-loving group of "brothers and sisters" about whom I continue to think fondly. May all your shared memories carry you through Luke's passing to peace.

To the family: I am deeply saddened by Luke's passing. He was my roommate and friend at Holy Cross -class of 1955. I've always thought of him as one of the smartest men I have ever met. We were very good friends at the College and now it hurts me to know of his death and the fact that we were not able to meet again or maintain contact in later life. I am really sorry for his death and wish to extend my deepest sympathy for his wife and family. My prayers are with you. - See more at: http://www.ompsfuneralhome.com/view-condolences/?obit=11863#sthash.dEqsDgTE.dpuf

Luke Boyd was undoubtedly the most intelligent man I ever met. He gave me some great advice one day, "Do what you love and you will be successful." I will always think of him as a loving spouse, parent and grandfather. Luke, I hope you were greeted in heaven with an endless supply of bowls of ice cream. I am glad you were part of my life.
