Lindsey B. Delozier

On Friday, January 8, 2010, God called home an angel, Lindsey Brooke Delozier, 22, of Stephens City, VA.

Lindsey was born in 1987 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of Stephen and Tammy Funkhouser and biological Dad, Darrin Delozier. She was a senior at Sherando High School, and she loved dancing, music, and her “Sissy”, Onyx, the dog.

Surviving with her parents is her paternal grandfather, Robert Delozier of Bevan, NC; her maternal grandparents, Phyllis Whitlock of Winchester, and Joseph Whitlock and his wife, Bonnie of Front Royal, and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Marsha Delozier.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Darrell Waller officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Whitlock, Jeremy Whitlock, Jay Smith, Randy Brelsford, Kevin Fournier and Eric Smith.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lindsey B. Delozier Burial Fund, c/o Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, 1600 Amherst St., Winchester, VA 22601.

I am Tiffany davis Daughter to Ed and the late Peggy Davis, we had the honor of knowing the family when Lindsey was a baby and my fondest memorys of her sitting at the bottom of the long stairway rocking and laughing. This is Chelsie Weadon, a junior at Sherando. I just wanted to let her family know, they had full of life beautiful daughter. I had gym the same period as her last year. She was always smiling and laughing. Anytime music was playing she was dancing and smiling along. She ran around and played tag with all of us in the period also. She was a great young women. Who will be greatly missed.
