Linda Nye
Linda Lou Nye, 52 of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She was born in Carlisle, PA, the daughter of Darlene Nye, of Newville, PA, and the late Lloyd Nye.

She worked as a Commercial Truck Driver for Family Dollar Distribution for 12 years, then at Monoflo for three years. Linda’s many hobbies included photography, metal detecting, sight-seeing, hiking, being outdoors, and horseback riding. She loved her cats, making her various crafts (especially scrapbooking), going to flea markets, thrifting, and yard sales. Most of all, she enjoyed anything to do with history that she could drive to.

Surviving are her three sons, Charles, Clinton, and Colton Reed, all of Middletown, VA; her grandson Isaiah Reed; her partner, Roy Reed; sisters, Kelly Nye of Perry County, PA, Jackie Nye of Newville, PA; brothers, Tim Nye, of Newville, PA, Bryan Nye (Linda McCrea Nye) of New Cumberland, PA, and Mike Nye of Newville, PA.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Beatrice Gipe Nye, whom she was very close to.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 10, 2016, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held Monday evening, July 11, 2016 at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia at 6:00 PM.
