Mary Jane & family, Even though I only knew Lew for a short time at Round Hill Church he left a lasting impression. Such a kind and warm spirited man, who always had a smile on his face and warmly greeted everyone he met. I am thankful his life crossed paths with mine and I was blessed just to know such an accomplished man. My heart breaks for you all as he will be greatly missed here on Earth. It is written, to be absent from the body is to be present with our Lord and I have no doubt he is celebrating with Jesus. Well done good and faithful servant, well done! Rest in peace, until we meet again my friend.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There are not enough words in any language to express how sorry I am for your loss. When I joined Bank of Clarke, he was my first interview. I was so impressed how down to earth he was. He was well respected, and we admired his leadership. He touched so many lives. You are in my thoughts and prayers for God to give you strength and comfort. Blessings, Valera Belcher

I will always remember Lew and his leadership of the Korean War veterans & his faithful mentoring of my students at Millbrook High. Each year, he would come speak to my students about his military experiences, showing the next generation what it means to sacrifice for one’s fellow man. Honor & duty poured out of him every time he came to our school. I was honored to know him. I’m praying for his family. May the Lord bring comfort and peace to your hearts.

Our deepest sympathies for the family. Lewis Ewing was a wonderful man! He is undoubtedly a great leader, also. I worked at Bank of Clarke County as part of a wonderful team and last at Bank of Clarke. The first part of my career was always appreciated and recognized in a friendly, family environment. I want to sincerely thank you for sharing him with us…even after his service on the Board of Directors, he was always friendly and thankful and thoughtful whenever we saw one another. May God Bless each of you with many memories and much comfort in this loss! Bonita & Steve

Lewis was my boss at Shenandoah Valley National Bank. He was a wonderful boss and so kind to me. He gave me snow tires for my car one winter, to make sure I made it to work. I have always enjoyed talking to him over the years and will always remember his kindness to me.
