William Purcell left a message on August 25, 2020:
Lee was my roommate at Virginia Tech and I was looking to set up a reunion with our circle of friends when I found Lee’s obituary. Lee and I were paired together because we were both biology majors. When talking to a mutual friend about Lee’s passing his first comment was ‘Lee was one of a kind.” I couldn’t agree more, funny, smart, generous, quirky. Our backgrounds were as different as night and day but we had a great time during our time at Tech. Rest In Peace Lee you are missed.
