Lauren B. Pearce
Lauren Pearce, 55, of Winchester, Virginia, died, October 5, 2014 at her residence.
Lauren, was born in 1959, in Succasunna, New Jersey. She is the daughter of William Pearce and Barbara Pearce. She is a graduate of Roxbury High School, Succasunna, New Jersey.
Surviving with her mother of Winchester, Virginia, is a sister, Kathleen Pearce-Wright and husband, Donald, of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia; two nieces, Gwendolyn Bordeaux and husband, Brian, of Marshall, Virginia and Rachael Bartholomew and husband, Eric, of Marshall, Virginia; a great niece Brooklyn Bartholomew and three great Nephews, Brennen Bordeaux, Jackson Bordeaux and Russell Bartholomew. She is also survived by her beloved rescue dog Daisy.
Lauren worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Winchester as an Engineering Tech since 2007 and was deployed to the Middle East as Support of Contingency Operations for a year in 2010 and 18 months in 2012. She was loved and will be missed by her coworkers.
Lauren was a daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, coworker, friend and a confidant. She was an exquisite gardener, an animal lover and a battle buddy. Lauren was a motorcycle and bicycle enthusiast, which lead to her being one of the founding members of the Bike Washington Cycling Club (which is now 1,300 members strong). She loved nature, the trees and the ocean. Autumn was her favorite time of the year.
Lauren was preceded in death by her father, William Pearce and grandparents Edith and Russell Fine and her beloved cat Charlotte.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Funeral Celebrant, Joseph Dilleree officiating. Interment will be private.
We plan on having a large motorcycle presence at the memorial service since Lauren was an avid biker. Please feel free to ride your bike to the service! We want to hear the roar!
