Larry Howard DeHaven, 69, of Winchester, Virginia, died Monday, November 23, 2015, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Dehaven was born in 1946 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Howard G. and Evelyn D. DeHaven. He was a Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector for Frederick County, Virginia, retiring April 1, 2008.
He married Vicki Lyn Tucker on February 3, 1968, in Winchester.
Surviving with his wife of 47 years are two sons, Eric DeHaven and wife, Sheri, Shawn DeHaven; grandchildren, Chelsea, Gradyn, Logan, Troy, Dalton and Bryana; great grandchildren, Daniel, Hailey and Zamarion; his sisters, Jeanie McKee, Linda Feltner and husband, Doug; and his brother, Randy DeHaven and wife, Robin.
His son, Troy DeHaven and sister, Carol McFarland, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 11:00-12:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.
