Kimberly Anne Sutphin, 51 of Warrenton, VA, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at her home.

Kimberly was born in 1972 in Ranson, WV, the daughter of the late Garnett Victor Adams, Sr. and Ramona Ruth Adams. She worked as a collection’s specialist for Blue Ridge Orthopedic. Kimberly was a loving wife and sister and was very loving to her nieces and nephews. She would always put everyone else above herself. Kimberly enjoyed going on beach trips, especially to Nags Head and Florida, going fishing with her husband, and spending time on the farm with her dogs Dudley and Ace. She loved helping her husband with any farm chores/jobs that needed to be done and most especially she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Christopher, whom she married on July 19, 2008; nieces, Lilly, Hailey and Natiley Cole, Felicity Adams, Crystal Barker Gaynor and Samantha Myers; nephews, Emmett Adams, Brent Adams, and Jacob and Matthew Miller; sisters, Karri Lynn Cole (Richard), Mickey Lease, Tammy Kerns (William) and brothers, Sonny Barker (Wendy), Victor Bryan Adams (Michelle), Garnett Adams, Jr. and loving jack russell, Dudley.

Along with her parents, Kimberly is preceded in death by her sister, Shelby Hough.

A funeral service will be held for Kimberly on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10am at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Middletown, VA. Pastor Alan Morrison will officiate.

I am so very sorry to hear this. She was a wonderful friend and coworker. Even tho I moved away I am going to miss her.

Every morning when I’d go upstairs at work for coffee, I would see you and you ALWAYS had the biggest smile when we said good morning to each other! I know you are now safe in the Arms of God!

Losing someone you love is nothing easy, but knowing that we all have been able to be a part of the life of that person, we can realize that we are blessed to have been able to share in her life before she went to rest in eternal salvation. I am truly blessed to have know Kim. She was a truly special soul and will be deeply missed. Prayers for her family. I remember training Kim when she first came to Blue Ridge and I felt a true friendship from the very beginning. RIP Kim.

A million memories, a thousand inside jokes, and a hundred shared secrets, that's what makes us friends! You will forever be missed and will never be forgotten. In the short amount of time we worked together, we could finish each others sentences and shared so many laughs. Fly high my beautiful friend....until we meet again.

I am deeply saddened to hear this news. I worked at Blue Ridge with Kim in the collections department and she was so sweet and patient and kind. I have such fond memories of our working together and of her stories she shared with me of her love for her husband, Chris, her doggie, Dudley and her lovely nieces. Kim was always giving and kind to me. We became close friends. Rest in peace sweet Kim.

Words cannot begin to express the hurt I feel for your loved ones. Having only known you through the love and laughter in your sister and nieces stories I can't help but confidently say that you will forever be in their memories.
