Kevin L. Swaner

        Kevin Lee Swaner, 48, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Monday, December 16, 2013, at his home.

 

Mr. Swaner was born in 1965, in Cumberland, Maryland, the son of Shirley Marie Swaner and the late Kenneth Lee Swaner. He was employed as a Plant Manager with Betco Supreme. Kevin was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, the Pittsburgh Steelers and was known for his love of Nascar and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He was a loving son, brother, and friend to many who will be greatly missed.
Surviving with his mother is his sister, Debra Imes of Winchester; brothers, William Swaner and fiancé, Nancy Marie Sirbaugh, of Winchester, Brian Swaner and wife, Mary, and Marvin Swaner and fiancé, Tiffany Dill, of Middletown, Virginia. Kevin is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

 

Kevin was preceded in death by a niece Kimberly Dawn Swaner.

 

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, from 2:00-4:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

 

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Celebrant Joseph R. Dilleree officiating.  Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Shirley Swaner, 125 Dodge Avenue, Winchester, Virginia, 22602.
