Kevin L. Shanholtz

Kevin Lee Shanholtz, 36, of Winchester, Virginia died Monday, March 9, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Shanholtz was born in 1978 in Winchester, VA, the son of Ricky Shanholtz, Sr. and Barbara L. Marple. He was a 1996 graduate of Sherando High School, and was self-employed as a painter. Kevin had a passion for life he will be forever remembered for his love of family and friends especially his daughter Jocelyn. He had a love for the outdoors, enjoyed attending concerts and fishing whenever possible. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and loved Nascar as well. Kevin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving with his parents and step-father Scott Marple is a daughter, Joceylyn Ann Shanholtz; stepson, Caleb Baker; four sisters, Kimberly Coffey (Shawn), of Inwood, WV, Terri Merrit and fiancé Chad Glass of Chambersburg, PA, Chasity Brown (Leroy) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Brandi Marple of Winchester, VA, and two brothers, Ricky Shanholtz, Jr. and his fiancé Brittany Roberts of Winchester, VA and Austin Shanholtz of Inwood, WV. As well as many extended family members and close friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by a sister Brittney Renee Marple.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Andy Combs officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Omps Funeral Home, 1600 Amherst Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
