Kara-Jo Carter, 51, of Manassas, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Prince William Hospital.
Kara-Jo was born in 1966 in Manassas, Virginia, the daughter of the late Joe and Belle Parsons. Her passion was being a beautician. Kara-Jo enjoyed cooking, riding Harleys, dancing and listening to music, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd and any old school rock-n-roll. She loved frogs and sunflowers and was truly a free spirited soul. Kara-Jo was of the Christian faith and always lived by “God’s got it”.
Surviving is her husband of 14 years, Michael Todd Carter; children, Shannon Dodson, Travis Davis, Olivia Parsons, Bre’anna Parsons, Shianne Parsons, Jessica Carter, Kaitlyn Carter; grandchildren, Lilly’anna, Savannah, Grayden, Harper, Adrian, Izzy, Amelia, Aryana, Kaylee, Gabby, Emilee and Clayton; sisters, Joanne, Kimberly, and Marla Parsons; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 pm to 6 pm on Saturday, October 7th, at the Kiwanis Shelter at Jim Barnett Park. The family request that all in attendance bring a covered dish to share.
