Judith Lynne Stottlemyer, 64, of Stephenson, Virginia went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center after a nine-month battle with cancer.
Judith was born in Winchester, Virginia on March 22, 1952, the daughter of the late Oscar and Martha Pitzer. Judith graduated from James Wood High School in 1970. She was a dedicated employee of Cracker Barrel Country Store. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed family reunions, lunch dates and her favorite hobby, bowling. Judith was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher.
She was married to Gary A. Stottlemyer for 23 years before his passing and nine years to Clifford S. Shubert.
Surviving with her husband are sons, David Stottlemyer and wife Cheyenne, and Brian Stottlemyer of Stephenson, Virginia, and Daughter Robin Link and husband Will of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Lauren Stottlemyer, Ryan Stottlemyer, Andrew Link, Erin Link, Nevaeh Jenkins, Blake Stottlemyer, and Kendall Stottlemyer. Numerous step-children and step-grandchildren; brothers, John Pitzer, of Clear Brook, Virginia, and Oscar Pitzer, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; sister, Donna Lockhart, of Gore, Virginia.
Our family would like to thank the staff of Winchester Medical Center, Blue Ridge Hospice and Shenandoah Oncology for their care during her illness.
The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Mincey of the Winchester Grace Brethren Church officiating. Entombment will be at Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The pallbearers will be David Stottlemyer, Brian Stottlemyer, David Smith, Cory Carter, T.J. Wiseman, and Joseph Salyer.
