Juanita Ann Hicks Dembeck went peacefully to be with the Lord at 1:15 pm on September 12, 2025, at our home in Winchester, Virginia.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. George Dembeck, her daughter, Stacey Reich (Bill Reich), son, George Anthony (Tony) Scott Dembeck (Jodi Dembeck) and five grandchildren: Joshua Reich, Benjamin Reich, Zachary Dembeck, Morgan Dembeck, and Ashley Dembeck.

She is predeceased by her mother, Maggie Hicks and father, Henry Hicks.

She is also survived by her brother, Roger Hicks, & sisters, Dellia Beatrice Dembeck, Brenda Tharp, and Jane Sasser. Juanita was born in Russell County, Virginia on June 16, 1943.

She was a faithful pastor’s wife, loving mother and grandmother, and graduate of James Wood High School, Baptist Bible College, and Carolina University. Juanita loved the Lord Jesus Christ and the church. She never met a stranger and had the most beautiful heart for others. She and her husband pastored Faith Baptist Church in Hopewell/ Prince George for 30 years.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 12pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Winchester.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. Prayers to you and your family.

Mrs. Dembeck was a great Pastor’s wife and a great first lady of Faith Baptist Church. When we were in need of a Pastor, our Church family prayed that God would send us a Godly Man who would lead His Church and Pastor His people. God did, and God did even more. He also sent us Mrs. Dembeck, who would become a great blessing to all of us! We had no idea that God was giving us a double blessing as He chose to answer our prayers.
