Joyce Ann Rippeon Cain, 71, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Cain was born in 1947, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Elsie Elizabeth and Harry Zachariah Rippeon. She is a 1965 graduate of John Handley High School in Winchester, Virginia. Mrs. Cain attended Blue Ridge Grace Brethren Church in Winchester. She loved her family, friends and her dog, and enjoyed spending time with her sisters and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking road trips, traveling and socializing.
She married Thomas Franklin Cain on December 24, 1975, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband of 43 years is her daughter, Cassandra Elizabeth Lindquist (Wes) of Escondido, California; sons, Larry Anderson Cain (Karla) of Winchester, Virginia and Chris Allan Cain (Jennifer) of Charles Town, West Virginia; grandchildren, Owen, Christian and, Jacob Lindquist, of Escondido California, Liza Cain, of Sterling, Virginia, Tucker Cain, of Breckenridge, Colorado, Kelly Snider and Rachel Judy, of Winchester, Virginia and Kyle Baker, of Charles Town, West Virginia; sisters, Sandra Campbell (Raymond) of Winchester, Virginia, Joan Cassell (Jim Hannon) of Purcellville, Virginia, Sharon Ditto (Charles) of Hagerstown, Maryland, and her brother, Harry Zachariah Rippeon, Jr. (Mary Jane) of Tappahannock, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 28, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Davey Ermold officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Cassell, Seth Cassell, Zach Rippeon, Tucker Cain, Kelly Snider and Charles Ditto, Jr.
