Josiah Keene Blough

Josiah Keene “Joey” Blough, 28, of Frederick County, Virginia, died June 20, 2010, in Frederick County, Virginia, as a result of drowning.

Joey was born in 1981, in Griffin, Georgia, the son of Robin Maurice Blough of Star Tannery, Virginia and the late Sandra Lee Blough. He was employed by Home Depot Distribution Center in Winchester, Virginia and was a member of the Gainesboro United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Sherando High School and a Veteran having served in the United States Army during Iraqi Freedom. He achieved the rank of Specialist First Class.

He married Stephanie Michelle Russum on July 30, 2005, in Dinnwiddie, Virginia.

Surviving with his father and wife, is his daughter, Isabella Maria Blough , son, Kenneth Josiah Blough both of Winchester, Virginia; sisters, Veda Katharine Blough of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, Tina Kelly of Wadesboro, North Carolina, Gina Kelly of Kentucky, Melissa Leigh Stone of Baki, Azerbaijan, Jennifer Rossi of Largo, Florida, Judith Lynn Bobbit of Danville, Virginia and Sandra Maureen Linsmeyer of Stafford, Virginia; brothers, Rodney Eugene Blough of Alexandria, and Carl Lee Moravitz of Fairfax, Virginia. One sister, Patricia Ann Elliot and one brother, Noah Griffin Blough preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend William Withers officiating. Interment will be in Gainesboro Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Todd Lamonte Hall, Nick Smeltzer and Wayne Moreland, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening July 2, 2010, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post #2123, 200 Sulky Drive
