Celebration of Life

Joseph R. Bowers, 68, of Winchester, VA, passed away peacefully at home on September 19th, surrounded by his family.

Born on April 28th, 1957, in Wardensville, WV, Joe lived life with a steady resilience and compassion. Even in his final days, he amazed those around him with his strength and determination.

He was known for his humor, his honesty, and his deep love for family. His greatest joy came from simple moments—time on the porch, telling stories, watching a West Virginia Mountaineer football game, and being with those he loved.

He is survived by Lyndsey Bowers, Cody Bowers and Rebecca “Becky” Bowers, and preceded in death by his parents Mildred Hott Bowers and John Joseph Bowers of Wardensville, WV.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2pm at West Oaks on Thursday Sept. 25th, a celebration of life will follow from 2 – 4pm.
