Joseph Anthony Allenbrand, 47, of Cross Junction, Virginia passed away Monday, January 1, 2018, at his home.
Joseph was born in 1970 in Jamestown, New York, the son of the late Dennis Allenbrand and Beverly Shoemaker; stepson of Susanne Allenbrand and Michael Shoemaker of New York. He was a graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Joseph was a cross-country truck driver for J.B. Hunt/Ward Trucking. He loved to cook, listen to books on tape, was a gun collector and a member of the National Rifle Association. Joseph was very proud of his niece and nephews.
Surviving with his stepmother and stepfather are sisters, Jean Eback (Nathan) of Winchester, Virginia; Michelle Shoemaker of Sinclairville, New York; Deborah Allenbrand of Buffalo, New York; Rebecca Allenbrand of Holbrook, New York; and Samantha Shoemaker of Woodbridge, Virginia; and a brother, John Allenbrand (Mindy) of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; his niece Sydney Eback and nephews, Cameron Eback, Bentley, William and Henerie Allenbrand and Carter Faicco.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 27th, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
