John Nicholas Kronyak, Jr. 91 of Berkley Springs, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 peacefully at his home.
John was born in 1930 in Passaic, NJ to the late John Nicholas, Sr. and Emily (Gultz) Kronyak. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in East Rutherford, NJ and served our country during the Korean War in the United States Army as a tank mechanic instructor (although never having the opportunity to ride in one). He spent his 37 year career as an Electrician and member of the I.B.E.W. Union, Local #3 in New York City. John was a NASCAR driver for 2 years, a former Champion Stock Car Driver and private pilot. He loved anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. John also had the honor of changing the lightbulb in the tower on the top of the World Trade Center. He was the father of 7 children and was 1 of 12 children.
John married Elvira Ann Pangaro in 1953 in Jersey City, NJ.
He is survived by his children, Diane Diaz, Carolyn Baynes, Susan Faustini, Michael Kronyak and Paul Kronyak; grandchildren, Vincent, Michael, Suzanne, Scott, Selina, Raechel, Christopher, Jared, Rebecca, Joseph, Ryan and Eric; sisters, Dorothea and Emily; brothers, Bernard, Thomas, Martin, Francis and William.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife Elvira; son, John N. Kronyak III; daughter; Elvira Quinn; sister, Marie and brothers, Matthew, Nicholas and George.
All services for John will be private.
