John C. Foreman, II
John Carl Foreman, II, age 45, of Star Tannery, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013, in Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Woodstock, Virginia.
Mr. Foreman was born in 1968, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of John Carl Foreman of Strasburg, Virginia, and Kay Foreman of Winchester, Virginia. He attended John Handley High School. He was employed in the shipping department of Rubbermaid, Winchester for 25 years.
John was a military history buff, and avid hunter and fisherman. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and passed his passion on to his children. John enjoyed being at Vances Cove and spending time with his family and friends. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and grandson. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
John married Angelia Kerns on April 14, 1990, in Winchester, VA.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife is his daughter, Carrie Wisecarver and husband, Marcus, of Star Tannery, VA, his son, John Michael Foreman, of Star Tannery, VA, a granddaughter, Alexis Wisecarver of Star Tannery, VA and a sister, Dee Boyer and husband, Jimmy, of Strasburg, VA. John is also survived by his grandmother, Helen L. Spitler of Star Tannery, VA.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald L. Spitler, his paternal grandparents, Ira “Tiny”Foreman and Eula Rogers, and a brother, Michael Todd Foreman.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, at Omps, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor Michael Funkhouser officiating. Interment will be in Gravel Springs Lutheran Church Cemetery, Star Tannery, VA.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Wisecarver, Max (J.R.) Spitler, Eric Swartz, Mike Anderson, Mitch Wickline, and Jack Bosley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Boyer, Bob Morgan, Rick LaFollette, Rod LaFollette, Donald Kerns, and Pete Kerns.
