Joanne F. DeHaven
Joanne Frances DeHaven, 70, of Winchester, Virginia died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in her home.
Joanne was born in 1940 in Winchester, Virginia the daughter of Nellie Frances DeHaven and the late John W. DeHaven. She was a telephone Operator with C & P Telephone Company retiring in 1990 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Burnt Presbyterian Church in Winchester. Miss DeHaven was a graduate of James Wood High School Class of 1959. While in high school she enjoyed and won trophies in bowling.
Surviving with her mother of Winchester, Virginia, are three sisters, Shirley Jane Bauserman of Stephens City, Virginia, Barbara Kay Hall of Port St. Joe Beach, Florida, Betty Jean Banning of New Bern, North Carolina; two nieces, Leigh Bauserman, Amy Leigh Hall and one nephew, Matthew Banning.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Burnt Presbyterian Church with Reverend Patrick Lanaghan officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burnt Presbyterian Church, 168 Burnt Church Road, Winchester, Virginia, 22603.
