Joan Patricia (McDevitt) Supple, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019, at her home.
Ms. Supple was born in 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Hugh and Helen McDevitt. She was a graduate of Midwood High School, Brooklyn, New York. During her employment years she worked in retail in Long Beach, Long Island. She was a member of St. Ignatsius Catholic Church, Long Island, New York.
Surviving are daughters, Joan Dunlap (Donald) of Gore, Virginia and Catherine Dunlap (Bruce) of Winchester, Virginia; sons, Timothy and John (Elaine) Supple, both of Gore, Virginia; grandchildren, Jill Shields, Buddy Dunlap, Joseph Dunlap, Kristen Supple, Patrick Dunlap, Jack Dunlap, Elizabeth Baker, Daniel Dunlap, Mary Dunlap, and Sarah Dunlap; ten great grandchildren; sister, Helen McDevitt Miles of Long Island, New York; godchildren, Diane and Linda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Supple was preceded in death by sisters, Florence Hindle, Irene Delaney, and Catherine Hartman; and brother, Hugh McDevitt.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
