Jeanne Mitchell, 90, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024. She was born June 24, 1934, in Fairmont, WV to Hobart Franklin Ingram and Emma Beryl Poling.
Jeanne left West Virginia at a young age to seek a life for herself. She was a bartender until she married. She then volunteered at a local hospital, pursued her personal passion and joy with interior decorating, did fashion and automobile modeling as well as participating in many fashion shows. Once she became pregnant with her first child, she devoted her life to being a mother and housewife; the role she proved to be born for. Jeanne was always the most caring, loving, and kind woman to all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. She was very loved and will be missed by many.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Linda Banning Rinaldi (Tom), James Banning, Kimberley Langlais (Stuart), and Dawnn Johnson (Brian). She is also survived by Angela Bell, John Mitchell, and Eric Mitchell along with 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Randolph “Randy” Mitchell and one sister, Martha June Escalante.
A visitation will be held for Jeanne on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11am with the funeral service at 12pm at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel on Front Royal Pike, in Winchester, VA. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
