Jane Drumheller, 97 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at her home.
Jane was born in 1927 in Bedford, VA, the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Parker. She received her Bachelor of Science and Nursing Degree from the Medical College of Virginia and worked as a nurse at Winchester Memorial Hospital. Jane was co-owner of Thee Shop Christian Book Store where she most enjoyed sharing her faith with her customers and helping anyone in need. After retirement, she continued to be a powerful prayer warrior and faithfully wrote cards to anyone that was sick or on the prayer list. She was a strong woman whose faith never wavered, and she cherished her time spent with family.
She married Jack W. Drumheller, Sr. on November 14, 1953, in Richmond, VA. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2011.
Jane is survived by her children, Jan Geiser (Robert), Jack Drumheller, Jr. (Tracy) and Wayne Drumheller (Brenda); grandchildren, Jaclyn Michels (Nathan), Shannon Hoyer (Ben), Casey Price (William), Zachary Drumheller (Amanda) and Erin Drumheller and 9 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Jane is preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Candler and her brother, George Parker.
A visitation will be held for Jane on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm with a service the following day, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 1pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
