Jane Ann Garvey Brazda, age 87, of Winchester, VA, died on June 4, 2014, at Manor Care in Fairfax, VA.

Ms. Brazda was born in 1927, the daughter of Ann Garvey Morrow and Jack Garvey in Omaha, NE.  She was married to Jerome Francis Brazda of Wisner, NE in 1953.

Survivors include her four children, David Brazda of Bedford NY, his wife, Leslie and their sons, Matthew and Jeremy; Chris Brazda of Boston, MA, his wife, Sara and their daughter, Keane; Michael T. Brazda of Miami, FL, his wife, Lourdes and their sons, Chris, Nick, Alex and Jonathan; Barbara Dietze of Chantilly, VA, her husband, Holger and their sons, Clayton, Sam and Carter; and her half- brother, E. Thomas Morrow of Atlanta GA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10am EST at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church – 130 Keating Drive, Winchester, VA.

In lieu of flowers and so forth, we ask that donations be made to Jane’s charity – the Northern Shenandoah Valley chapter of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

All checks should be made payable to NAMI, Northern Shenandoah Valley in honor of Jane A. Brazda and mailed to NAMI, Northern Shenandoah Valley, P.O. Box 4550, Winchester, VA 22604.

Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, Virginia.
