Jim welcomed us to the neighborhood over 45 years ago. He was caring and generous. Many times he brought us strawberries or veggies from his garden. Our prayer for Scott and Monte and their families is that they be comforted by all of their memories of him. We certainly will miss him.

Tracy Benner left a message on September 17, 2019:
I was Mr. Hounshell's neighbor, and have been all my life. I am going to miss him sitting on his porch that faces my house. Many evenings he spent there relaxing, napping, and watching the going-ons of the neighborhood. He was always willing to share his garden vegetables with my family and he loved to talk and catch up on news. I have good memories of when I was just a few years old and Mr. Hounshell visiting my parents and bringing us a treat to enjoy. He will be missed very much.
