Jacques “Jac” Everly Billmyer, 85, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Billmyer was born in 1929, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Milton J. ”Shorty” and Thelma Fay Billmyer. He was a graduate of John Handley High School, Class of 1947. Jac worked for the IRS from 1969 to 1995 as an accountant. After retirement, he began his next “career” as a full time farmer at his farm, “Winter Hill”. Mr. Billmyer was a member of Strasburg Presbyterian Church. He was a charter member of Powhatan Ruritan Club for 44 years and was an avid duck pin bowler winning many awards. Mr. Billmyer volunteered with Compassion Cupboard in Strasburg for over 25 years.
He married Nancy Triggs on August 18, 1956, at St. Andrews on the Mount in Charlestown, West Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Robin Ann Billmyer, Sherry Lynne Billmyer Rinard and husband, Dwight, all of Winchester; grandchildren, Nathan Billmyer Rinard and Everly Hannah Rinard.
The family will receive friends on Friday, one hour prior to the service, at Strasburg Presbyterian Church, 325 S. Holliday Street, Strasburg, Virginia.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, at Strasburg Presbyterian Church with Pastor Dwight L. Rinard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Strasburg Presbyterian Church, 325 Holliday Street, Strasburg, Virginia. 22657.
