Ida Virginia Adams

Ida Virginia Sine Adams, 86, of Gerrardstown, West Virginia, died Monday, July 26, 2010, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Adams was born in 1923, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Homer and Ollie V. Sine. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

She married Janney Lee Adams on October 22, 1938, in Hagerstown, Maryland. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1996.

Surviving are her children, David L. Adams and wife, Nancy, of Martinsburg, WV, Thomas W. Adams and wife, Mary, Marshall Adams and wife, Jackie, all of Frederick County, Virginia, Virgil F. Adams and wife, Betty, of Berkeley County, WV, Kenneth Adams and wife, Bambi, of Frederick County, VA, Brenda J. Morrison of Winchester, VA and Rhonda Starliper and husband, John, of Berkeley County, WV; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Nelson and husband, Richard and Betty Sine, all of Frederick County, VA.

Her daughter, Pauline A. Grogg, two sisters, Bertha Gardner and Ella Baker; six brothers, Charles, Lester, Frank, Arthur, Otis and Robert Sine, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Isaac Luttrell officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM, prior to the service, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
