Hilda Marie Parker Carper, 85, of Winchester formerly of Middletown, Virginia, died Monday, September 28, 2015, at Spring Arbor Assisted Living.

         Mrs. Carper was born in 1930, in Middletown, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles F. and Bertie Parker    Hilda was a loving wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother as well as a dedicated homemaker. Mrs. Carper was a charter member of College Park Church of Christ in Winchester, Virginia. She will be forever remembered for her love of family, faith and friends.

         She married Ralph Lenard Carper on October 5, 1951, in Winchester, Virginia.  He preceded her in death in 1994.

         Surviving is her daughter, Donna Veach and her husband, Dennis, of Gore, Virginia; son, Paul Carper and his wife, Debbie, of Richmond; two grandchildren; Timothy  Veach and his wife, Jessica of Slanesville, West Virginia and Todd Veach and his wife, Sara of Winchester, Virginia and one great grandchild, Grant Veach as well as many extended family members and close friends.

         One sister and three brothers preceded her in death.

         The Carper family wishes to offer there most sincere gratitude for the love and care of Hilda to both Spring Arbor of Winchester and Blue Ridge Hospice.

         The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, prior to the service, from 5:00-7:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

         A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Larry Veach and Pastor Brandon Merrill officiating.  Interment will be in Friday at 11:00 AM in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Middletown, Virginia.
