Hazel Estella Foreman Clowser, 82, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Friday, November 6, 2009, at her home.
Mrs. Clowser was born in 1927, in Gore, Virginia, the daughter of the late Earl Christy Foreman and Carrie Elizabeth Foreman DeHaven. She was an assembly worker with Henkel-Harris retiring in 1989, after twenty years of service. Mrs. Clowser was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Frederick County, Virginia. She was a graduate of Gore High School, Class of 1945.
Her husband, John T. Clowser, whom she married on January 19, 1949, in Albin, Virginia, preceded her in death on March 30, 2004.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Jean Bucher of Winchester, Virginia, Sarah Elizabeth Heltzel and her husband, David, of Jacksonville, Florida; two sons, John T. Clowser, Jr., and his wife, Kazue, of Hinesville, Georgia, Patrick M. Clowser and his wife, Patricia, of Mountain Falls, Virginia; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and her sister, Eunice Phillips of Kensington, Maryland.
One sister, Eva Riley and three brothers, Shirley Foreman, Carroll Foreman and Harrison Foreman, preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia, with Mr. David A. Owings officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, from 7:00-9:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
